Mercedes
Rooted in calligraphy, I sense that there are realms which cannot be conveyed solely through letters or words—worlds that lie
beyond the visible.
While characters were historically born out of rituals and prayers, I imagine their origins reaching even further back, into the
elemental forces of nature and its cataclysms. Through this perspective, my work seeks to embody the unseen, capturing the
very instant when language begins to emerge—the moment of creation itself—as the structural core of the piece.
In the opening of the AMG promotional video, an energy surge appears. By depicting this as a living force upon the earth within
my work, I sought to create depth and resonance.
The earth has often been called a planet of iron, and thus I chose steel plates as my canvas. Onto this foundation, I inscribed
“energy” as life itself—expressing both the birth of letters and the laws of nature, the interplay of stillness and motion, and the
coexistence of all living beings on this planet.
The completed work became the flame of life embodied by Mercedes AMG, and also the flame of human spirit that carries it
forward.
書道を本質にもつ私は、文字や言葉では伝えきれない世界があると感じ、目には見えない世界を表現
した。
文字は、呪術や祈りの中から生まれてきたが、私はもっと以前の自然の天変地異から創造したのではと
考えることで、
みとしている。
目には見えないものを表す世界、人間が文字を創り出す過程の、文字が出来上がる瞬間を作中の骨組
AMG PVの冒頭に、エナジーが走る場面が出てくる。それを地球に生きる生命体として作中に描く事で、
奥行きをもたせる事を考えた。
また、地球は鉄の星と言われてる事から、鉄板をキャンバスに用い、そこにエナジーという生命を描く事
で、文字が出来上がる瞬間と自然の摂理、
静と動、そして地球に存在する生命体との共存を表現した。
完成した作品は、Mercedes AMGの持つ命の火であり、それを繋ぐ人の思いの火となった。
